September 2018

I have a new 16” archtop back from finish and set up.  All laminate Maple instrument with a Kent Armstrong hand wound 12 pole floating pickup and under pick guard tone and volume controls.  Sounds great plugged in and surprisingly good acoustically for an all laminate instrument.  It has a handmade brass tailpiece with an Ebony overlay.

String spacing is 1 3/4” nut and 2 1/4” saddle so it works great for finger style jazz guitar.

16” is a great size for comfort and I think I am going to do more all laminate guitars in the future.

This instrument may be spoken but if not will be available in the next month or so.

A Brazilian 000 12F slot head commission has gone to finish.  It’ll be a good one I think.  Great tap tone on the box.

Next project will be a Brazilian/Adi Dred for Glen Elvig of Creek House Concert fame.  I have some big repairs to do as well.
