June 2013

A few things going on at Kennedy Guitars.

I completed a Bird's Eye Maple OM and it is currently in finish.  It should look great, hope it sounds good as well.  It is my first Maple flat top.

I picked up a 1953 Epiphone Triumph Regent Archtop from Gruhn;s in Nashville.  It was a repairable that they wanted to sell.  It needed new back binding, a bridge, tailpiece, pickguard, and heel cap.  The price was great and the rest of the guitar including the neck was quite good.

It's pretty much done except for a pickup and is very cool.  I'll probably keep it a while before selling it.  It will be perfect in my Patsy Cline tribute band.

I just got two back from finish.  a double side Mahogany OM and a Rosewood OM.  They are in the process of assembly and should be ready by July.

The double side Rosewood OM that was at The Podium sold to Glen Elvig, boutique woodworking artist and proprietor at Creek House Concerts.  The best place in the twin cities to hear great acoustic music. I couldn't have asked for a better home for the little guy.

Check It Out!!

Still no plans on what I will do after The Podium closes.  I should probably have something ironed out by August.
