The pictures above show the neck blank routed for the truss rod and two 1/8” by 3/8” carbon bars.  I now run them across the neck-headstock junction for additional strength.  They really give a stiff neck which is good.   I’m convinced they alter the sound for the better.  More sustain and clarity.   I always use a two way truss rod.
