Fretting and Bridge

With the neck firmly bolted on the way the guitar will be when strung up, the fretboard is leveled with dead straight radiused sanding blocks.  The neck is then fretted using a fret press which really gets them in solid and true.   I usually do not do the final leveling until the guitar is back from finish and fully assembled.


Bridge fabrication is fairly straightforward with several specialized jigs.  Those seen below were developed by luthiers Tony Karol and John Howe with some of my own modifications
